I have a 2003 Monte Carlo and my brake lights are not working, I have checked the bulbs, fuse and brake light switch, what else could it be?

No the high mount is not working either

Very basic system shown by the schematic. Typically, if you have no high mount either, it suggests a faulty switch. You checked the switch, was there power on the brown wire at all times, and power to the white wire when pedal depressed? If the switch is indeed good, you have an open in circuit 17(wht wire). I will include the schematic for your reference.
