My RPM will not go down to zero it stays at 1 or 2....It also****** when in drive

Chances are the gauge is bad. You can check for a bad connection behind the dash. Also, check for weak or loose ground straps. As far as the********, if the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Most parts stores will do it for free.
