2003 Chevrolet Malibu A/C running, engine stalls

I had replaced my a/c compressor recently and recharged it. When I turn the a/c on my engine stalls after a few seconds of running it. What would cause this?

Does the engine idle speed up when you turn the system on? Is the system working? If you rev the engine, can you keep it running?

It will stay running if I rev it, not getting cold though.

Since the stalling happens when it idles, I suspect that the idle air control (IAC) isn't working properly. As far as the AC not cooling as well as it should, it could be a bit low on Freon.

I changed the IAC, the Purge valve, and the mass air flow sensor and still the same thing.
