Have a 2003 Impala LS, just recently this problem started.
As I start the car and then turn the wheel to the right to exit parking while in drive forward the traction control light comes on and the system acts as if I'm on ice. No noise from the front axle at any time. This is a slow acceleration, only happens from a parking situtation, has never happened during any cornering.

Time for a visit to the dealer. There has been a huge problem with front wheel bearings with the ABS sensors built in. The bearings are not exactly defective but they develop enough play, sometimes within 15,000 miles, to let the signal drop out. That makes it look like the other wheel is spinning and losing traction. The fix is a new wheel bearing, and wait for the same thing to happen to the other one.

That makes sense as I have noticed during 5k tire rotation that R/F tire has unusual wear. Never associated the two
