I was having problem with my car dumping cutting off so I wasing thinking that it was bad gas it didnt get better so somebody told me about the map sensor so I unplugged it and it runs great how long can it be unplugged before I fix it

You should repair the problem as soon as you can. The manifold absolute pressure sensor can cause other issues for you if not taken care of.

You can keep it unplugged and it won't damage your engine, however you gas mileage will suffer. This could be also just covering up the real problem. Have you had your check engine light scanned?
