There is a right I/P fuse 60 amp in the under hood fuse panel here is a guide to help you test it and the fuse location with the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

I have the same problem. The Aux light does not illuminate. I have no voltage at either the front console or rear console outlets. As illustrated in the schematic I found the 60 amp fuse was blown! thanks for the post.

My cigarette lighter contnues to blow fuses. I'll put a new one in and it will not blow until i put something (i.e. phone charger, radar detector) into the socket and it gets moved. As long as it doesn't get bumped or moved in the socket it doesn't blow the fuse. Any suggestions? Where can I find a wiring diagram for the lighter? I have a book but it doesn't have that diagram.

Welcome to the forum, my wiring info shows below picture. Maybe you need a new socket? My other suggestion is, don't bump it. lol

Electrical problem
2000 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

We got the battery replaced in april and before the battery was replaced the cigarette lighter worked but once the new battery was replaced it stoped working. We have checked all the cars fuses and there all good and we can figure out what would cause this. Can anyone help me out please.

double check all your fuses. if they are ok, check for voltage at the connetor at the back of the socket. the housing for the lighter may have gone bad

I dropped a dime inside the cigarette lighter. I jammed it down even further trying to get it out. Eventually I got it out, now the lighter doesn't work for charging or lighting. The fuse is not blown. Any help?

double check all your fuses. you may need a new socket for the lighter if all the fuses are good.

Hi, there are two fuses to check, also you need to use a testlite on the fuse circuit, see if it is hot. Cigar liter fuse 15 amp, also, right instrument panel 2-- 60 amp fuse, use test lite, these circuits are hot all the time.
