To Whom it Concern,

I have a Chevrolet Cavalier 2003, it have the following problem:The ignition switch doesn´t recognize the key. I watch for example if the key is in the switch, the radio is on, the door for the copilot is open and then close, few minutes later the radio is get off and the light inside the car turn on an few minutes later turn off. This situation I remember is just when the key is out off from the switch.

What is your opinion about this, it is necessary to change the ignition switch?On advanced, thanks for your support.

Reset teh security system first. Turn the key to on and keep it there until the security light goes out. This can take up to ten minutes. Then turn the key off and then see if car will start.
