having issues with guages going off and on as im driving radio cuts out too. Any ideas

Start by checking the battery connnection and the ignition switch.

2003 Chevrolet Cavalier car guages go off and on while driving
Yes I checked the battery, just installed a new one and had a used cluster installed too. Not sure what I need to do to check ignition switch?? Can u tell me more about the switch?
