my 4x4 will only kick into low and when it is in gear only the front left tire spins and the back right

It's normal for only one wheel to spin in the front and one in the rear. You don't have true positraction differentials. You have limited slip differentials which send power to the wheel with least resistance. As far as only low working, that is a different issue. Do you have a push button 4wd system?
