My blower motor started making noises then went completely out about a month ago. After learning the motor is behind the glove box I can make it come on sometimes by beating on the dash board, although it doesn't blow as hard as before. I'm pretty handy and was wondering if it's easy enough to change yourself. I've gotten what I think are high estimates to do it - all around $500 - $600. An AC/Delco blower online is under $200, off brands can be as low as $75. Also, one guy said the reason the price was so high is they have to re-charge the air-conditioner - is that true?? Can't see why. Any advise? Could I cause more damage by doing it myself? I heard from someplace it can be hard to remove... Thanks, Joy
