Trunk issues

Usually when I hit the unlock button on the keyless entry remote it unlocks the trunk and I can open it but now the trunk won't open at all! I have to climb through the back seat into the trunk and use a screwdriver inside of this little hole on the trunk door to pop it open? What should I do?

Do you hear the solenoid activating when the button is pushed?

Use a test light or meter to see if it gets power when you activate it.
