gas gauge goes to empty and low fuel liught comes on wether connector to fuel opump is plugged in or not connector under drivers seat most common repair fuel sending unit in tank is ruled out since gauge malfunctons wetehr its plugged in or not

if the connector is open and shorts out from being corroded, it will do this
