My 2003 Buick lasabre sometimes ildes high and sputters. Also has trouble going into 2nd gear when excelerating. I'm worried about changing the transmission because I read on a foram a while ago someone had the same problem changed transmission and it diden't fix the problem. I brought it in a few places to have the code read but nothing came up.

check the fuel pressure first it may be low, it won't show up on a scan, engine problems shold be fixed first prior to transmission being looked at
