Sorry for the late reply.
My info says to remove air pipe and exhaust cross-over pipe to get at thermostat housing. You would have to look at each end of pipe to see how to take loose.
Use a 6 point wrench or socket to remove bolt. You can use a cheater on rachet or wrench, just a long piece of pipe that will fit over tool, gives you more leverage. There are three things that can happen if you use a cheater, and two of them are bad.
1. the bolt comes loose.
2. You break the bolt, then you have to fish out the broken piece.
3. You strip out the threads, that's not hard to do, then you have to retap the hole and use different bolt.
I realize this is an old post, you probably no longer own this vehicle. In the future, hopefully, you don't have any vehicle issues, but, if you do, keep the site in mind. They are always working to make the site better and it's free.
Have a good day.
