Quite often there can be slight problems with the instrument clusters on these vehicles, what needs to be checked is to connect a TECH2, or equivilent scan tool to the system and access the cluster controls to test the display function. More than likely the problem is in the cluster assembly and would have to be exchanged out. Most major cities have a warranty repair center that performs these services for the dealers but will work with the public. Removal of cluster will of course be required as they will only work with the unit itself, usually transfering data for the odometer and vin before returning it to you. The newer clusters are mostly internally driven and only gain/ share information with the other "computers" in the car. If the information when it is working is corect and functioning properly then it is recieving the correct data and it is the internal display function at fault. Hope the info helps. DUG.
