A couple of days ago, I left key on and battery almost died. I let it sit and then it started ok. Today, I turned key and NOTHING, just like the battery was dead. I turned key again a second time and it started just like it always does, with no hesitation. Is this a battery problem? or, what else should I check? I am unemployed and cannot afford to go to a garage right now.

What i would do is make sure the battery cables are clean and tight then have your battery tested along with your alternator which auto zone does for free.

AutoZone told me the battery was weak and needs to be replaced. I have a battery from a Toyota RAV4 in my garage. I'm taking it to them on Monday to see if it's something I can use in the Buick. Otherwise, when I can afford it, if it lasts that long, I'll be replacing the batter. Thanks for being there and giving me the right direction.
