2003 BMW 540i ignition

The starter has been replaced. Prior to the replacement the key engaged the starter. Once the replacement starter went in the key will not engage the starter. It is like there is no power at all going to the ignition. The normal dash lights will not even come on.

Did you check the fuses associated with the starting system? There is a large 50amp fuse labeled f114 that feeds power to many circuit when you cycle the ignition on. I sound like a fuse is blown so check the large fuses first then we will go from there. Talk to you soon, TY
