2003 Bmw 525i Great Ac Good Cold However Switch Heat Only Get Vent Aim Floor

My 525i has great ac good and cold, however when switch to heat i only get heat from the vent aim at the floor, even when the tempertrure is set on 90 degrees and all vents blow, but still blow out cool air. What is my car's problem?

The stratified temp wheel on the center vent is inoperative is what this sounds like, I would also point out that BMW has a strategy for air distribution that blows warm not hot air from the center vents.
