CANNOT USE CIGARETTE LIGHTER TO CHARGE PHONE ETC, I HAVE CHECKED THE FUSE AND THATS OK, ANY SUGGESTIONS?

If the car were mine, I would route a power wire to an aux jack and be done with it. You omitted saying if the cigar lighter gets hot when pushed in.
