the turbo went in my 2003 320d, had it reconditioned and refitted it yersterday, on starting the engine der was still loads of white smoke and oil dripping from the exhaust, the turbo appears to be working, cud this be from a pipe, plug or sensor left off, or any other ideas?

Sounds like the turbocharger is leaking internally-check if the oil is mixing with coolant
