BMW 328i dashboard symbol of circular yellow exclamation light comes on

The minute that I start my 2003 BMW 328i, a yellow light with circular yellow exclamation comes on, which the circle has edges and looks like Drive sign. What does it mean ? How to repair it?

1 of the posters there said the circle has COGS? this would seem to match your description of edges. which is transmission warning. so you might want to get it further diagnosed by dealer?
