Wont Start

I have an Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sport and have recently replaced the battery & starter motor. However I attempted to start it up this morning and it made a clunk before becoming completely unresponsive.

Any ideas? Thanks

There starter may be faulty or jambed, try rocking the engine (crank shaft) back and forward a little to see if it will kick out, try starting again, if the same the starter may be faulty.
