I have a 2003 Acura TL Type S. How can I have the yellow triangle traction control light and check engine light turned off for free? I already know the transmission needs fixing, I just dont want the lights to be on. Is this something that can be done with one of those code scanners that they have at an auto parts store?

When the CEL turns on, the TCS light might come on as well. To turn the lights off, you need to rectify the problem.

Get a scan done at autopart stores and let me know the EXACt trouble codes. Nobody is going to do the repairs free for you so you have to DIY. If components requires replacement/repairs, it would not be free.
