Just changed the cylinder head gasket due to overheating. But now an oil leak has started between the cylinder head and the engine block. What can be the cause?

Did you have the head surfaced and checked for warp? was the block surface spotless, cleaned off all old head gasket remnants?

the gasket is new . the leak is on the supply gallery from the block to the head which goes through the holes for the cylinderhead bolt
