2002 Volkswagen Polo Clutch

Basically when I let out the clutch to engage it it engages at different points 90% off the time 50 or 60 % let up to engage and the other small times it will engage properly (how it used too) is there anything I can do to help this I don't know much about cars, thanks!

Start with checking and adjusting the clutch clearance, check that the cable is not binding up and that the pedal pivot is also not binding up, re post if you require further assistance.
