P0420 Where is the O 2 sensor on a 2002 VW Jetta

This will not be an O/2 problem. Even a lazy sensor can't set that code. In order for that code to set the rear O/2 has to mirror the front O/2 for long enough to see a pattern telling the computer that the exhaust is leaving the converter in the same condition that it enters.
