I recently put oil in my car. My battery light came on then my ABS light. My lights started flickering and my started jerking. Then it just shut off on me. What could it be?? I'm thinking it's either my alternator or battery. Please help.

You're right about the generator. It isn't keeping the battery charged. You can verify that by measuring the battery's voltage while the engine is running. It should be between 13.75 to 14.75 volts. When the generator isn't working, the voltage will be 12.6 volts or less.
