2002 Volkswagen Jetta 02 vw jetta timing belt

I have an 02 jetta 2.0 gls that o had dis the timing belt on. All my marks are line up when i give it a revolution everything still lines up when i turn the key wont start and it throws my timing off. What could be the problem or whatam i doing wrong?

The only thing I can think of is the keeper key on eather the cam or crank in worn or missing so the gear is just turning and not being held in place. You will have to remove both gears and check to make sure they are there and in good shape. Also make sure the cam gear in not on backwards.
