2002 VW Golf - intermittent central locking issue.

Car locks fine using key fob. Sometimes front passenger door locks then opens when using master lock inside car (not key fob). What is happening? Is it a connection problem inside the door or with master switch?

could be a connection as you say but i bet more on the switch failing.
