My daughter was driving her 02 Cabrio in snow and slid off the road, hitting a mailbox. There is no visible damage to the car whatsoever, but the car stalled and will not start. Is there a safety cutoff for the fuel system, and if so, how do I reset it? Thank you.

no, there is not. have a shop check it for you. the accident may have caused a connection to come apart somewhere.
