2002 Toyota Corolla Brakes

When I put my foot on the brake pedal it makes a humming sounds and when I release my foot off the brake pedal it makes a squeaking sound. This doesn't happen all the time just every now and then. How bad is my problem and how hard to fix

check to see if your brake squealers are hitting if they are it needs a brake job that may be your problem.
