my 2002 wrx automatic will not accelerate

will not accelerate seems like it is hesitating as if its not getting fuel i had half a tank i did get codes po420 and po 171 but my cel is always on. it was so bad i had to leave it sit

check the fuel pressure . if it is ok, you may have a clogged cat converter

Check mass air flow for dust on sensor wires. Especially if you are running a KnN filter or similar oiled filter... Subaru fuel pumps rarely go bad

Just spray it off with carb cleaner and plug it in.

Note also check for torn air boot or disconnected air tubes after mass air flow...
