Yesterday it worked perfectly on my way to work but when I got in to head home the digital display was working and changing modes/temperature, but no air was blowing. Our first thought was the fuses, but we checked them all and they were fine.

Hi,

I have a couple of questions. First, does the vehicle have automatic climate control or manual control? Also, if I understand correctly, the controller doesn't light up and the blower motor doesn't turn on, but all the other controls work such as airflow direction, and temperature controls were working. Let me know.

If you have manual climate control, there are a few different fuses that need to be checked. I attached a wiring schematic below. Also, note that the blower motor fuse is in the fuse box under the hood. That is the one I need you to focus on. (See pic 3)

When checking a fuse, keep in mind, the fuse can be good, but the circuit may not be providing power. So, in addition to checking the fuse, confirm there is power to and from it.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

If you feel comfortable, do the same thing with the remaining fuses in the interior fuse box.

Let me know.

Joe

It is automatic and all the lights come on and from continuing to drive it I’ve noticed that heat does come out, it just isn’t pushed out because there is no air being pushed out no matter what setting. I’ll try what you recommended with the fuse.

Hi Ann,

If I understand correctly, the blower motor is working but no air is coming out. Can you feel it from anywhere? Also, are you sure there is a delay in the blower motor turning on?

I ask because you may have a plugged cabin air filter preventing air from being drawn into the cabin. If you haven't checked it, I recommend doing it.

It is behind the glove box. I attached the directions below for replacing it. Take a look through them and let me know if you are comfortable performing the steps.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
