Is it coming from the engine? If so the top or bottom of the engine? Also have you checked the oil level yet to see if it's low?

yes it sounds like it is coming from the engine, the oil level was checked as soon as the ticking started it was very very low, sound is coming from the top but not sure also noticed that it started leaking oil day before ticking started

If it's very very low it could just be the injector's plusing which is normal. If it's not the injector's then it's most likely the lifter's clicking. Not frequent enough oil changes can cause excessive oil change's.You could use a long screwdriver to your ear touching different part's of the head to track the noise down.Let me know what you find.
