Saturn Ball Joint Replacement

I have a 2002 Saturn L200. I have a friend who is a mechanic and helps with my car if it is not a job that has to be done in a shop. I need to replace the ball joint. Can the ball joiont be replace without the use of a special machine. I know some have different types, like a pop in system i believe. Thank you for your help.

You can get a bolt in ball joint and cut the rivets off the old control arm and bolt the new one in.Or you can buy the whole control with the ball joint which is a lot more money the choice is yours.I would try www.rockauto.com i have bought a lot of parts from there.
