Engine shuts off car shuts off randomly while driving

five speed manual transmission. Car shuts off randomly while driving. Was able to ‘coast’ several miles before having to pull over. I say ‘coast’ because it wasn’t like the car was actually off. I don’t know how to explain it, I have never experienced this before. When I pressed the gas pedal there was no response in any way. Zero resistance in the pedal, no discernible noise fluctuation from engine. Turn car off and started it again fine. Idles fine. Revs normally. Shuts off as soon as you shift into any gear. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1st, 2nd, 3rd or evening reverse. Towed it home. Replaced with new battery, new plugs, wires, and coil cap. Replaced seals in plug tubes. Car started, initially ran rough, smoothed out. Drive it about a block and it died exactly in the same manner it did when It was towed home.
Codes pulled from internal diagnostics are: 1684, 0645, 1490, 1489, 0420 and 1495.

Okay, I went through all codes provided and see nothing related. Here is what I found:

1489 / 1490 are both related to the cooling fan.

1495 Deals with the leak detection pump.

0420 Deals with the catalytic converter.

0645 Deals with the AC clutch.

1684 deals with power loss to the transmission control module (which is specific to automatic transmission).

What I need to know is this. With the clutch depressed and you place the vehicle in gear, does it stall or will it idle until you release the clutch?
