I think my pushrods and valves are suck on the intake side because the exhaust side is moving when you turn it over
It all started when it jumped timing. When I crank it up it sounded like everything was ratting so I turned it off and it back fire

If the timing jumped you probably bent eh valves that is why it's backfiring. There are three different engines for the sunfire for that year. If it is a 2.2L pushrod then it may also be a bad lifter or worn camshaft. If it has a belt for timing then you bent a valve. If it's a 2.4L you bent a valve
