Hey, I'm looking to install a butterfly exhaust unit on my 2002 Grand Prix GTP, I need advice on where to get more information and educate myself on this. I have way too many questions to ask in this format, so could you direct me to a site or set of videos to learn more about installation, pros and cons, and different dynamics in regards to my engine. The purpose is essentially to achieve a straight-pipe effect without the permanence of just chopping my exhaust after the catalytic converter. I'm going to list a few of the questions I have:
Is this legal?
Where could I get a unit which would fit on my car's exhaust?
Am I able to install it myself, or would I need to call someone? If so, who?
Where should I go to learn more about this?
What would the installation entail?
Thank you very much in advance for reading this.

TLDR; How do I install a butterfly valve to bypass muffler on a 2002 Grand Prix?
