when i turn my wheel if im not completely stopped the back wheel has a thumping sound. Is it the wheel bearing?

not likely. a wheel bearing will humm as speed picks up. probably something with your brakes.

1 other possibilty is a bad tire. they sopmetimes will only show at slow speeds.
