I have a 2002 Pontiac grand am and had my catalytic converter replaced about two days ago. My car now makes a low deep noise when idling and accelerating. Do catalytic converters make this noise? Or is it possible that the mechanics put a hole or disconnected my exhaust pipe?

it may be a small exhaust leak after converter it may take a few days to seal up. if still there after a week take it back . it may be just the type of converter that is on it.
