2002 Pontiac grand am 2.2L isn't starting

It died on me when I came to a stop and only sputters when I try to start it again. It seems like a fuel problem and my oil pressure gauge is on, so I replaced the MAP sensor but it changed nothing. It's not tSputtering and failure to turn over.

How do i check the pressure if the car doesn't start?

start by spraying starting fluid in the intake.does it start.if so rent a pressure gauge at the parts store.when u turn the key on and read the pressure.
