How does the pressure regulator affects the vehicle when driving

My vehicle is loosing power when driving and the dct ask that the pressure regulator should be check

If its leaking it will cause the air/fuel mix to be rich and not combust properly and affect the engine performance-You can try this:https://www.2carpros.com/articles/engine-has-low-power-output
