Automobile will crank and won't start. I replaced the fuel pump new and the car started and ran for about 20 minutes. I tried to start it again but it would only crank. I replaced the fuel pump relay and still won't start. It will only crank. I spliced a straight wire to the hot side of the fuel pump and the pump pressured up. I ran this wire from the hot side of the relay to pressure up the pump. My question is can the security system stop electricity from flowing to the fuel pump or is it a broken wire? What do you think?

Security systems comes in many variations and some of them do cut off the fuel pump but I do not think that is the cause.

It is most likely a wiring problem and what you need to do is check/test the fuel pump circuit. At the fuel pump relay, check for presence of battery voltage and try bypassing the relay to see if the fuel pump works if battery voltage is available.
