how do i remove the fan om my 2002 xterra se 6cyl

Where applicable, remove fan shroud. Remove belt. I'd take the clutch off with the fan. There are four studs from the water pump goes through pump pulley and fan clutch, remove the four nuts on the threaded studs. Then remove the fan from the clutch. If the fan has an F marked on it, that means that side faces the front of vehicle.

The info I looked at was for crank driven fan. Picture below.
