Crank sensor circuit malfunction means that the connector or the wires from it to the ECM are the problem. You can get a new connector pigtail and replace the old one. Probably nothing wrong with either sensor just a wiring fault.

Looking at the wiring diagram, they both share the same ground and bias voltage feed. But the bias voltage also feeds other sensors so it is likely to be the ground wire. On both it is the black wire. They both show a connection on the intake manifold as the ground point.
Trace the wires through the harness and remove and clean that ground connection. Also, use a test light connected to battery positive to test the grounds at both sensors.
