What kind of service records does it have?

I would have a tech go over it front to back and top to bottom before commiting to buying it.

If it was for me, I would say no. Remember, the engine may still run well, but everything else wears out too.

Does it make a difference that its a diesel engine.I saw the car interior great just minor body work around the back fender panel and bottom panel (rust work). Starts good a/c working good but I dont have a mechanic to check it out so should I really walk away or take a chance I know its a big one

With any used car, you take a chance. I just feel that this one has too many miles. However, that is a decision that you need to make.

I agree with Joe. If you have no one to check it, walk away

SHOPPING FOR THE WRONG RIG!

LONGEVITY IS THE KEY!

SORRY.I MUSTA MISSED THE DESCRIPTION SOME WHERE. BE IT WHATEVER KINDA RIG

I STILL THROW OUT MY EXPERIENCES. OUT ON THE TABLE. FOR ALL TO GAUGE BY

I'VE OWNED NOTHING BUT JEEP CJs SINCE 1981 (WHEN I WAS FINALLY ALLOWED TO DRIVE ON THE PAVED ROAD). ALL OF THEM WERE PRE-1980

ONE WAS TOOK OUT BY A SEMI--IN THE SIDE---THE REST WERE SORTA DEALS I COULD NOT PASS UP!

AFTER MEGA DRIVING/ MILES/ AND TAKING CARE OF THEM. AND OF COURSE AFTER I HAD MY WAY WITH THEM.I STILL MANAGED TO GET OVER $2000 MORE THAN I GAVE FOR THEM.

JUST FYI. THAT DID NOT LEAVE ME "JEEP-LESS".I HAD ONE ON HAND TO TAKE THAT ONE'S PLACE!

THINK ABOUT IT----THE OLDER ONES----AND EVEN THE NEWER WRANGLERS ARE A HECK OF A LOT EZier TO MAINTAIN THAN A NEWER CAR

UNLESS YOU GET FANCY.

. YOU CAN CLEAN 'EM OUT WITH A GARDEN HOSE!

THEY WILL LAST FOREVER. PARTS WILL BE AROUND FOREVER. NOT ONLY ORIGINAL, BUT AFTER-MARKET TOO

WITH A "TAKEN CARE OF" SOFT TOP---YOU WILL GET 10 OR MORE YEARS OF SERVICE OUT OF IT

WHEN YOU DO REPLACE IT----1/2 OF YOUR JEEP IS NEW AGAIN!

. NOT TO MENTION YOU HAVE A NEW "HEAD LINER" AT THE SAME TIME!

WITH THE CJs. THERE ARE NO DOOR PANELS OR A PLASTIC DASH. NOTHING FOR THE SUN TO RUIN ---FADE AND GET BRITTLE

IF YOU WANT A NEW PAINT JOBTHERE AIN'T A WHOLE LOT OF SURFACE AREA TO DO

FROM MY OWN EXPERIENCES.I THINK THE STRAIGHT 6 CYLINDER PROVIDES AMPLE POWER. NOT TOO MUCH. NOT TOO LITTLE. JUST RIGHT FOR A DAILY DRIVER!

MPGs DO WELL ALSONOT TO MENTION PLENTY OF ROOM TO GET IN THERE AND PERFORM MAINTENANCE

HERE'S THE OTHER BENEFITS

.A REAL BIG ONE.F-O-U-R W-H-E-E-L D-R-I-V-E (4WD)

WHEN YOU PULL OFF IN THE DAMP GRASS AND YOUR CAR SPINS, DIGS A HOLEGOES NO WHERE. WON'T HAPPEN IN THE OLE JEEP!

DON'T WANT YOUR CAR TO LOOK JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE'S ( I GET TIRED OF SEEING THE CLONED, BURGUNDY MUSTANG. EVERYBODY "HAS" TO HAVE)

A FEW ACCESSORIES. AND WAH-LAH.A WHOLE DIFFERENT LOOK. THIS IS JUST ONE LINK ---TO ONE PLACE TO GET 'EM

THE TRICK IS. TAKE CARE OF THIS EZ TO REPAIR VEHICLE. IT WILL LAST FOREVER!

I HAVE HAD NO "CAR PAYMENTS" SINCE 1991

EVEN THEN. TWO SEPARATE PAYMENTS FOR TWO SEPARATE JEEPS

MY 1946 WILLYS----"WILLY" WAS A LUMP SUM OF $100. NEEDING SOME CARE

MY 1977 CJ 5"MR. JEEP" WAS A LUMP SUM OF $2400. ALMOST NEW IN APPEARANCE. AND READY TO GO!

I FEEL SURE I COULD MAKE A HUGE PROFIT ON EITHER ONE NOW. BUT THEY ARE MY BABIES, I'VE HAD THESE 2 THE LONGEST. AND THERE'S REALLY NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM. SO I RECKON I'LL KEEP 'EM A WHILE LONGER

SIMPLE MAINTENANCE AND EVEN BIG REPAIRS (WHICH I DO MYSELF) SURE DO BEAT "CAR PAYMENTS".

I REBUILT MUCH OF THE STUFF OVER THE YEARSONE OF THE LAST WAS MY TRANNY----EVERYTHING INSIDE IS NEW. ITS JUST LIKE NEW.$800.2 CAR PAYMENTS?

NOW THENI COULD KEEP GOING----I'LL BE GLAD TO ANSWER QUESTIONS

LET ME LEAVE YOU WITH THIS LAST NOTE

I HAS NOT MATTERED WHAT YEAR OR DAY---TIME OF DAY. IF I'M IN AN URBAN ENVIRONMENT AND TRAVEL IN AMONGST OTHER LESSER VEHICLES

EITHER ONE OF MY JEEPS "REALLY TURN HEADS". YOU CAN SEE THE "YEARN" AND "SLOBBER" AS THEY WISH THEY HAD ONE

YOU TOO CAN BE ONE OF "US". JUST GOTTA BREAK LOOSE FROM THE "TRENDY" / GONE TOMORROW STUFF!

THIS IS AN OLD CLIP----BUT THE JEEP COULD STILL BE OUT THERE---STILL LOOKING THAT GOOD---STILL DOING WHAT IT'S DOING IN THE CLIP!

KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE FEMALE SHE WILL BECOME A "BLUR" AS SHE ABANDONS THE "TRENDY TRUCK FELLERS". AND SHE IS HOT AND SOUNDS. WELL. LIKE A BLONDE, EVEN BY '70s STANDARDS!

I HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO WRITE THIS NOVEL

PLEASE SEND ME A PIC OF YOU AND YOUR NEWLY ACQUIRED JEEP. YOU CAN REPLY TOO!
