first you'll need metric wrenches, sockets end aand box end. ball pein hammer, screwdrivers, oil drain pan, and papertowels. you get good one for around $2 a roll that if they get like water can be dried out and reused. Auto scanners normally run around$125 for a decent one, but it will only read engine codes and nothing else, not abs nor trans, those run about $2000-5000 some in the cheaper range will read abs codes.You could also buy a decent digital volt/ohm meter fluke are the best but more expensive.
