The car makes a faint high pitched whistling noise while accelerating. Also the car shakes while in drive but stooped.

check for loose/cracked shields on bottom of car. if shaking stopped continue driving til it starts again it could be an engine mount.

This noise is common when the catalytic converter is going bad, I would use this guide to help confirm the issue.
