I removed the valve cover to replace a leaking valve cover gasket on a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. The Gasket is stuck on the cover and I can only take it out in pieces. There are still small pieces stuck on the cover. I tried to scrape it off gently but ended up scratching the cover. How can I remove the remaining pieces? is their any chemical that helps? Do I need to replace the cover? Thanks
