i have a Mitsubishi eclipse 2002 gs 4cyl so i have a sign come up and i got it checked and it was the egr code p0401 and i disconnected the battery and changed the egr valve the sign was gone and the mchanic told me to add a little more antifreeze when i

401 is egr code. it could be a clogged passage, bad valve, bad controller, vacuum leak or bad pcm. free code pulls never identify bad parts just failed systems.
